Wicked Wishes with Oddball Art

I had some fun playing with this image from OddBall Art, and yes.. more pattern paper is in use.  I clearly made this card on the same day as the Baboon card, leaning to circles and stripes and cute but funny sentiments.  I was glad to finally get some use from my Dylusion sentiments, they are hard to use at times but with this image they worked.

We are finishing off the challenge year with an optional theme of Holiday Haunts and Silly Stripes, please remember to link up your makes for us to see, if you need an image my DT code will work in the shop for a discount DTPENNY10.     Entering the challenge will see you in for a chance for a prize!

A little bit of Monkey in all of us

How cool is this image from Oddball Art - Bubba Baboon, not sure why but it really makes me smile.  He was my choice for our December  challenge which is always anything goes.  We do have an optional theme of Holiday Haunts and Silly Stripes but I used that in my next project... stay tuned but that is using the awesome Creepy Cute Witch Legs, Skirt & Broom which I will share on the 19th.

Ive finally found some mojo in using patterned paper again, which is good considering I have a small truckload of it in my craft room.  I was worrying it would be forever wasted or .... scarily that I would donate it.   Crisis averted.

Please head over and play in our challenge, we love looking at your creations and I'm sure you love the change to win prizes.   Also don't forget to use my DT discount code DTPENNY10 if you choose to buy some images.

Oddball Challenge

WELCOME BACK FOR A BRAND NEW ODDBALL CHALLENGE!

As always ANYTHING GOES but for NOVEMBER our theme is DARK AND DISMAL

I got to play with the mason jar image which comes with a few options and then I paired it with the cutest kitty ever (oh.. scary.. I mean scary :) )  I used PNG images so I could overlay them to make one combined image to work with.

I went through a box full of backgrounds that I had created using watercolour paper,  soaking up ink from other projects.   I had popped these away and when I went through them I could see that this image paired so well.  I shadow stamped the heart background with second generation stamping  and added some hearts in archival ink to link it all in.
The hugs sentiment is cut on my cameo in gloss black card.
(and now that I know that it cuts so well, I may use it more often).

Head on over to the challenge blog and check out all of the inspiration from the team and don't forget to enter to play along for some great prizes.

If you would like to purchase the images I used with a discount don't forget to use my DT code of DTPENNY10 when you checkout.

Whimsical Alice in Wonderland Caterpillar

Im using the awesome image from Oddball Art stamps for my card this month.   Our theme is creepy but cute.  I had some fun playing with some soft colour choices and stencilling up the background to give a bit of contrast.

Naughty Gnomes.. pretending its Xmas time

I have to say I loved colouring up this guy, I know he is a gnome but he was begging to be coloured as a sleepy Santa.   This image is one of five in the digistamp by Oddball Art (Lizzy Love)

I used my Cameo and created a card base that fits the image exactly and I think Ill add a ribbon somewhere for a tag type card.

I coloured up this image with Copics which was a nice change as I had been using watercolour lately and had forgotten how nicely copics layer up and create interest.

Im also changing up how I take photo's these days.  I quite like laying the cards flat and popping some items around the card.   I just have to put some tape inside the card to keep it flat during the photo processes.

Now its your turn to play, have you visited the challenge blog and uploaded a card yet!!

Creative Fingers with Christine Karron Images

Well talk about spoiled for choice, the team was given images from Christine Karron for this months Creative Fingers - Anything Goes challenge.  I took my real brush markers to work and coloured,  I thought it would help me relax.. it didnt.   I did like having a break at work and colours in hand.

Are you an Oddball?

I had such a good time playing with textures on this card.   I got some stencils and stencil brushes out and moved the stencil slightly between colours to get a textured brick look, I then remembered I had some grit paste that I hadnt' tried, this stuff ended up looking like grout or concrete.  Im going to try adding colour to it next time.

I coloured the image with copics and once I was all done, I protected the image and flicked on some paint with graphite paint pens.

We look forward to seeing you on the challenge blog, or on the facebook groups or forums!

Oddball Art Stamps - Announcement

Well it appears that I found some crafting mojo and applied for one of my old DT teams.

Lizzy Love from the amazing Oddball Art Stamps has let me play along with the DT and im back in the team.    As part of the reveal the team we all got to play with some images to show our style... I appeared to be feeling all cute and girly when I created this batch.

I was at craft retreat and played with a few ideas.   That cute snail was a 2am project and ended up being my favourite.  I paper pieced the shell with a floral paper and it was such a quick idea and effective.
