Thank you to our sponsors from Creative Fingers DT - Oddball Arts

Oddball Art Co was one of the generous sponsors of Creative Fingers Challenge Blog this year and to say thank you to them for their support I created the following card.   This is using

I used my CTMH papers for this card (yes I found them hidden neatly away) and Vinyl for the sentiment.  I have found it near impossible to stamp a sentiment on the CTMH embossed card so Vinyl was definitely the right choice.

I'm joining in the Oddball Arts Anything goes challenge over at the Mixed.Mediaology Facebook page. and the mid month challenge of Winter at The Odd Balls Challenge blog.

DillyBeans is also a wonderful Sponsor of the Creative Fingers Challenge, these images are new to me and when you visit the store you will see how varied they are.   Its so nice to see images that can be as individual or quirky as you are!

I was lucky to receive the Penguin Framed image to use

I really wanted to have lots of red on this image, I printed him up huge (that square of the image is 9cm tall and wide) and due to the fax that red and i aren't friends when colouring I decided to piece it.  I loaded the image into my silhouette software and did a trace and split it up and just selected the parts of the image i wanted to be red, cut and wallah.  Simple paper piecing.   No scissors were harmed in the making of this project!

Thanks for Visiting Today.  Please be sure to visit all our wonderful sponsors and send them some spending love xxx

Another Challenge for
We are sponsored by a company that is new to me

My image is named HOPE

I tried something different when colouring her up, I tried to keep some white space but please bear in mind its the first time I tried that, and often I lose my perspective and shadows end up where light is meant to be.. Im working on it.  Its quite daunting trying new things but I figured I have to just jump in.

I used my Distressing machine for this card, another crafting tool that hasn't seen enough table time lately.  Im also going through remnant card stock and trying to use larger pieces instead of stashing them away forgetting and cutting a new sheet.   The tag and the doily on this are the reverse side of the main DP.

I hope you visit both our sponsor and the challenge blog, I look forward to seeing your creations.

Im playing in a few challenges this week

Playing with Reds at Teddy Bo

These beautiful little Teddy's have been in hibernation in my craft room but I just woke up Teddy Bea and coloured her up in a deep red dress using a combo from a recent Kit and Clowder class.
I used R59,27,24 and C5 for the dress.  It fun experimenting with darkening up the image and believing it will work.   The little hearts were simply R59 coloured onto remnant card stock and cut with a simple little heart die and then glossy accents added.

Using Pink Ladies Rule from TeddyBo

Its nice to be able to use an image that so versatile..  While this doesn't necessarily need to be a Christmas card it certainly lends itself to be one with the vibrant red.  Im thinking of sending it to my Step-mum who isn't that into Christmas, which is why the sentiment was popped on a Thinking of you instead of Merry Christmas.

Thanks for dropping by today.

All Dressed Up

A few weeks ago I placed a card in the DT call for All Dressed Up and to my absolute delight I was asked to be part of the team.   I even get a new badge... Im yet to add it to my blog as the DT announcement isn't live yet, so here it is.

I am shocked to say the least but so happy about it, these little images are just beautiful.

The new team arrived just in time for the December Release and were given the choice of two images to play with.

Little Skater

Little Star

I chose to use Little Star for my card.   The more I look at her, the more I want to make a batch of Xmas tags.  Maybe thats a project for another day

Head on over to the Challenge blog to check out what the DT created for the release.  You can find the images at Funky Kits for rubber and Etsy for Digi's.
Funky Kits - Rubber Stamps
All Dressed Up  Etsy shop. - Digital Stamps

I would love to see lots of creations linked up on the challenge.  Remember to use an All Dressed up Image on your project.   The Challenge blog states all the rules and there is a Freebie available for use if you aren't yet an owner of these images.

Creative Fingers with Polka Doodles

I was very excited when I heard that PolkaDoodles was sponsoring the Creative Fingers challenge blog, I ran over to the store and grabbed some images (too impatient to wait for a sponsor image.. but ill use that in another post for sure)

Our theme was simply Winter, which I used loosely as Winter in Australia was months ago and isn't at Christmas Time...   which ended up being the theme of my card.

I used some products that had been hiding in my stash like the Amy R sentiment and the snow flake dies as well as my newly acquired Mama Elephant stitched dies.

The image is from Polka Doodles (of course) and can be found here

Please head over to the Creative Fingers Challenge blog and link up your creations
