Use your RUBBER STAMPS challenge

This challenge is sponsored by Yumi and Fumi
and we are wanting you to use your Rubber Stamps on your Card entry for

I used a Saturated Canary Rubber stamp and a Kazazz background rubber stamp for this card, as well as two clear stamps for the sentiments.  I must admit it was a nice change from digital!  I put off buying the chevron stamp from Kaszazz for ages as I find it very hard to look at, it makes my eyes go all weird, but when stamped in this light purple I can cope!  Does anyone else get put off by Chevron?

This card also uses washi tape that I overlaid on offcuts of white card stock to give it some body, and bottle caps with a 1inch patterned paper inserted and covered with glossy accents.  I even found some rikrak hanging around.. nothing appears to be safe in my craft room at the moment.  There is also a tiny touch of liquid pearls on the black background.
I must admit im loving sentiments at the moment, I got ALOT of new sentiments lately, after thinking my stash was limited. How wrong was I.  I sorted my stamps recently and discovered I own many.  But often they are not quite right for the project.  The two sentiments on this card are from the same set but I love how they can be used individually or paired to create a totally different sentiment or theme!

Its my Baby girls 13th Birthday....oh dear

Ive really been trying my best to get back into the crafting room more often and to create things that I need verses just making projects for the sake of it and then they get filed away and forgotten.. and really wasted.

I saw the current challenge on the Scrapbooking Boutique site and felt that I may just try my hand at the challenge which was a photo inspiration.

I started with the idea of going PINK.. but somewhere along the way some greys and blacks came into the picture.  Pink isn't even one of my daughters favourite colours but she did walk in on me as I was making this and commented that she liked the coloured image.

Rick St Dennis for Card Makin Mamas

This week we want punches in your card projects, can you find where I used them?

It's actually a bit tricky to spot them, so let me point them out.
The piercing was done with a tiny hole punch then stitched, and the patterned paper inside the bottle caps was punches with a 1/2 and 1 inch punch.

This card was made for my husbands 42nd birthday, ill take another photo of the inside but I already wrote on the card so ill have to photoshop a little.

My paper choices came from the Tim Holtz distress collections, they worked quite well once I decided on a theme for the card. As you can see the see thru card idea has been used again!

Please pop on over to Card Makin Mamas to play in our challenge and be sure to visit Rick St Dennis for the awesome images!

Mother's Day

Im about to give this to Mum.
I used a new SVGCUTS file from Cards for Mom, and I can see myself using these card ideas constantly. See thru cards are my new favourite thing. I used prima papers which I certainly Love.
Added to the present was a resized box and flower from silhouette, using Kraft and more prima papers. The font on the journal is cotton candy from lettering delights!

Ok, Im so sorry for being missing in action for so long.  I have gone back to work more regularly and it seems im exhausted on my days off.  Ill have to get myself more organised and have my blog posts planned well in advance.  I also want to apologize to anyone that has been waiting for me to comment on their creations in Card Makin Mama's, im way behind!  Prepare to be inundated with comments.

Card Makin Mama's are currently running a Washi Tape challenge, have you seen it?

Here is mine, I made this up many months ago and its already been sent to its recipient, a lovely friend who lent me her formal dresses for a cruise.  Unfortunately its the best photo I have of the card.

I have used base white card stock, some very old and most likely retired Stampin Up card stock, my bigshot and embossing folders, WASHI tape (of course) and liquid pearls which are my current favourite product!  The image is CC designs and she is coloured with Copics!  I even dug out my corner chomper and rounded off those corners!
