My Sisters Birthday

I have decided for my sisters birthday to give her an Album with some of my favourite photos in it, her kids, my kids, my sister and i together etc.. I've left it fairly late to do this so Digital scrapbooking to the rescue!  That said..its possible to waste a lot of time digiscrapping... but if you make a mistake.. wallah the delete key comes in mighty handy!
here is page one!  chelsea my eldest just begged me not to use this photo.. but its one of my favourites~ This was completely scrap-napped from the Kaiser site.

Mermaids and Candy

Beautiful beautiful Mermaids, apparently they can be nasty creatures protecting their underworld treasures.. but Fanyella Stamps over at I did it creations really mustn't know that.  Her Mermaid design is so very lovely and beautiful.  I couldn't help but to glitter her up and add her to this project!

I did it Creations challenge wants your projects to be 3d this week.  I have popped my image up on dots and the three flowers are also raised up on dots too.

Our Sponsor Fany has also decided to celebrate and donate candy, her reasoning is
. She wants to use this Blog Candy to celebrate the challenge, the DT and the shop designers
How exciting!!  I am going to be entering this one too.. I have to make a new card to enter so expect another Fanyella project from me this week~

The June 25th challenge will have two winners for that week. A random draw for the challenge prize of our new $5.00 Coupon and a random draw for the blog candy. All entries must be in by July 1, 6:00 p.m. Eastern. Please note our new prize of a $5:00 coupon good towards the purchase of the current sponsors digi stamps. (Find a freebie on the Challenge blog)  All the info for the candy and the Challenge is over on the challenge blog.  I will also link the candy to my side bar to remind you!

Digital Scrapbook Artist (DSA2) and my craft room

;
On the weekend i had the pleasure of attending a weekend where I learnt more about funtime software, which runs my gazelle cutter and pazzles.  Nearly 10 ladies for the weekend, laughing and pretty much TEASING me all weekend.  I was talking to Alisa of Designs Made by me about Digital scrapbook artist.  I had version 1 and really didnt want to upgrade to version 2.   Well she showed me a few DSA2 tricks and I was hooked.  For those like me who like EASY and simple programs then DSA is it.  Think photoshop without the headache!  Anyway, i was playing with the software while also listening to Alisa tutor us on Funtime and came up with this, its really just a drop and drag layout and much brighter than what I would normally do with real paper.  What i love about this program... you put the frame on the and then drop and drag your photo into the frame and it snaps into the frame!! love that!
Second photo is just me playing again with DSA, I just cleaned up my craft room and couldnt just upload a photo of it, i had to put it in a frame add some horrible red curtains and a label!! Im wondering why i did that now.. I should of opened the window in teh photo and you all could of seen the view out my window!
Im very spoiled!!
this photo shows my new shelves and the cutters up the end of  the room.  On the right of the photo there is a computer for the kids and a big printer just out of screen!  Im off to play!

Cooking it up with Katie

This week at Cooking it up with Katie, we were to choose our own images from our stash to play with.  I chose a freebie I had from Meljen, how cute is this guy!  Our recipe for the challenge is:-

Make or Alter an embellishment (hand cut a flower, airbrush a pearl to make it another color, anything like that)

Add some Sparkle

Use a Die Cut

I used my EK punch for the flowers and a huge CARL punch for the leaves.. my goodness its hard to push that punch!  I punched the enjoy (ATC wording stamp Kaszazz) with a stampin up punch and added a brad and ribbon.  My nestabilities are the die cut circles and my sparkle was bling and glossy.  I altered my bling with copics originally but the effect was barely visible so I tried green smooch.. It has yet to dry so I am waiting patiently to see if smooch dries on bling!  My distress inks got a workout on the punched flowers and the edges of the image die cut.

I really like this card, i hope you do to.  I love it when you create something that you like.. would give away and had fun doing!    Looking forward to seeing you all over on the Cooking it UP with Katie challenge this week

Car signage!

Woohoo look how cool this is!  I just made this car signage on my pazzles.  I didnt get brown, green and blue vinyl which I think I will get and colourise the window.. but i like this even in white!  i took my phone number off the pic for obvious reasons!

I did it Creations challenge day

Well we were asked to "BE CREATIVE" with an open challenge theme...
I got to play with an image from TREES AWARD IN DIGITAL STAMPS
and I chose a little boy image (Little Joey)  as I rarely make cards for boys.. yikes.. I then thought how am I going to be creative with this image, as its such a beautifully drawn image and I didnt want to take away from that with glitz and ribbons etc and i wanted to keep the image MALE!

My creativity may not be obvious immediately, but its in the form of new techniques.
My colouring with ditress inks and daubers trying to learn new ways to colour backgrounds, and
using a nestability to create a scalloped card base.. I actually like the result of both!

Pop on over to the challenge blog and enter your projects in the links section.

Challenge 40 - Distress it with the Aifactory

Over at the Aifactory this week we are all just so distressed, we can't help outselves .. ripping and tearing and inking up our projects... very very distressing!!  Can you guess the theme I chose this week?  If you thought ... Distress it  your correct!

The design team got to choose from these images both of which you can find in the store, just click on the pictures and you will be whisked off to the AIF Store:-
I was all excited about our theme which I chose weeks ago.. then I saw the angles of the image and thought...hmm how to i make this old and distressed...
here is what I came up with.  I tore, ripped, inked, embossed and aged..  I actually like the finished product and will end up using this one for a male card, which are often quite hard to make (in my opinion).
If you would like to participate in the challenge this week (and lets face it.. who doesnt like ripping things up) head on over to our challenge blog and play along.  You can grab a freebie at the store to play along with too.
The winning participant will win one of the images the DT got to use this week!

also playing along in
Fab and Funky - Just for Dad

A little bird told me

I saw this image over on the Robins Fetish Shop site last week and immediately fell in love with it and the companion imave.. which I will be making up soon.. its coloured but yet to card up.  I used the dew drop pearls on the flowers.. and can you spot the stamen in the flowers I cut that in the gazelle.. brilliant!
please forgive my photo's im trying to learn photoshop... ..work in progress..the REAL colours of this card are vribrant and popping!

My time to craft - Xtra Special
A spoon full of sugar - enjoying the sunshine
Little Red Wagon - Beads  (dew drops)
Papertake - Ice cream flavours  (bubblegum)

I think I may have to retake a better lit photo

Still playing...with photoshop!

Love the fact you can just add elements and take them off without ruining anything.. of course I wouldnt print this out.. but Im enjoying the process of seeing what things look like on a page... I beleive I may become addicted to hybrid scrapping.. as in print some add some real elements!...
im meant to be studying my anatomy book for my massage course.... not photoshop!! OOPS!

Teaching myself Photoshop

I decided to get myself a learn photoshop Ebook to learn photoshop for digiscrapping.  I do have a program called Digital Scrapbook artist but i hate loading up all the digi elements into it.. i will eventually!
Anyway the first tutorial in the ebook is how to achieve the above layout.  Everything was fairly easy except the shortcut for move layer up or down wasnt working..  Very very easy and I now need to decide how many layouts I would do like this and what the most economical way of printing up pages would be!
Opinions are more than welcome!

Creatalicious challenge June

Hi everyone, I love Creatalicious challenge day...
and i especially like the challenge this month.

This month we were challenged by Linda to
Stitch It Up - Show some Stitching Fake or Real..

Using this Layout

and here is what I came up with.  This card was for my husbands workmate who turned 39yrs old 3 days before him.  We had to tease her a little bit about being the old chick.
. (that said.. im a good 3wks older again)
she did get a smile and laugh out of the card, so I did well!

I believe the image is Artist Impressions, Golden Oldies, I got them online last year, this one is a clear stamp set and I got some rubber ones too.. they stamp up so beautifully!
I also used Kaszazz stitching stamps for my faux stitching, I actually like the effect for this.. in the past both real and faux stitching has given me grief.. so having a stamp for it made my day!  these stitching stamps also have cross stiching and zig zag options too.. nearly like my favourite sewing machine!

Card making frenzy

I appear to have my mojo back.. either that or my craft room is inspiring me.
I just got my image from Designed to Delight and had to use it straight away.. so so cute.
I also fit the challenge rules for Xtra Special over on My time to craft.  Keeping things simple with this card.. as I wanted the image to be the stare.  Oh the whole card is made from my remnant box! Got to love that.

A little bit of Design Team news

I was doing a bit of blog hopping through the week and finally had the chance to look around I did it Creations, I noticed they were still looking for designers, and cutting file creators and a few more players for their DT!  Well i eagerly emailed in and to my delight invited to be a part of the DT (read here,  I pushed  and shoved... and stumbled my way through the door)

So now I have to sort my way through some links and make sure I send you all on the right direction to participate in challenges!

First of all here is my card, our challenge this week is sponsored by the CRAFTY PAD and we were given this cute little guy to play with!

Challenge #8 - Christmas in June. Make a project using a Christmas Theme plus colors Red and Green.

I was making this card at my friends house today and I needed ribbon, she pulled out a chocolate wrapper that was a ribbon with a bell attached!  I grabbed it up and placed it on the card!  Amazing how things that may end up as rubbish can be reused in craft!

To enter the challenge you are encouraged to use
an image from the current sponsor but it isn't necessary.
To be in the weekly drawing for the prize you must use an
You may find a freebie on the challenge blog to play with... go and have a look and see!
We all do love freebies!

This week's winner of the random draw will receive

2 images of their choice from this week's sponsor.
Be sure to have your images linked and uploaded by the
 Closing date and time of
Thurs, June 17, 6:00 p.m.

Check out the links for the I did it Creations shop, and, forums but also please check out the DT links on the side bar!

Doodle Pantry and Aifactory

I just grabbed the June freebie from Doodle pantry over on the AIF shop.  I say June freebie, as its only free this month.  Also its a new challenge over on the AIFACTORY challenge blog, with the theme of Lets get Moving.
pop on over and see whats happening.  We had a great contribution last week with 51 entries! woohoo everybody, thats a brilliant bundle of entries!

Challenge card

I am filling in time today, waiting for my husband to come out of surgery. I was commenting on an Aifactory challenge card when I noticed the person had used the Designed to Delight image for the week...reminding me that I was yet to complete a card!
I have cleaned out my craft room again and things are now well and truly at my fingertips, all except papers which I am yet to find a suitable storage for.. ill get there.
Anyway back to the freebie image from the lovely Faith, you have a one more day to play along on this challenge, so head on over!
I decided to link up this card with the challenge from Cooking it up with Katie, and also Aifactory both of which I am part of the DT for.
Katie wants Green, embossing and ribbon and Aifactory is punch and anything goes (finishes in minutes). Charizma wants flowers
,One stop Craft wants swirls and pearls - my embossing is swirls and my handmade pin is pearls, Daring card makers wants pearls, and the Crazy challenge wants you to distress it - so i got to use my new paper distresser from kaszazz and also my all time favourite distress inks.. (well i only used one colour (peeled paint)

Whats Cooking

This fortnight over at Cooking it up with Katie, we were sponsored by Digital Delights by Lou Lou, we even got to pick our own images to play with from her wonderful stash of delights!

Please be sure to visit Digital Delights and see whats on offer!

What was our challenge this week... a very yummy recipe of

Green, Embossing and add some ribbon!

I have found out about pigment inks and am loving using them with clear embossing powder.. I now have ten colours of pigment and I think i need to now stock up on Clear emboss powder.  Much more fun using inks and clear instead of loading up on coloured powders!  its the small things isnt it!

I have used the Gazelle to cut out my image Lara Ladybug, her antenna got cut off so i had to draw them back in.
Looking forward to seeing your wonderful creations this week, be sure to visit the challenge blog and link up your creations!  Remember
GREEN, EMBOSSING and RIBBON is our recipe!

Pop pop pop ... pop up freebie!

Wow... Mia from Aifactory is tempting us all with a pop up freebie for 24hrs only (and we are already running out of time)
http://aifactorychallenges.blogspot.com/ has all the details!!~  she is giving away a month membership to her kit club for those who find the secret code... Im not sure if numbers are limited so hurry!!!!

Stampin Stuff

The wonderful Amy is offering Blog Candy over on her blog.  I just purchased many stamp folders and inserts from Amy and she was so helpful and swift and just GREAT!  Pop on over to her blog.. or better still her webstore and show her some love!

This week at the Aifactory the DT got Ella at Peace to play with, if you would like a chance to win this image why not play along in the AIFACTORY Challenge this week.   If you require images to play with why not visit vault and grab some freebies

I got to work out the new Gazelle cutter and its laser eye and did this awesome print and cut!
Check out how close the cut is to the outline!  I am in love with this machine.  Blows my pazzles which has caused me grief out of the park!
I put in an enlarged version of the file cut so you can see it, and see why i am so thrilled.

Now for the challenge of the week.
Anything goes and add a punch

very very very easy theme this week so I would love to see loads of people playing along.
